Understanding the UN Global Goals

The UN Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030. These 17 interconnected goals address pressing global challenges, including inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, and access to education and healthcare. They represent a blueprint for achieving a better and more sustainable future for everyone.

Why the UN Global Goals Matter

The importance of the UN Global Goals cannot be overstated. They provide a shared vision and clear objectives that require collective effort from governments, businesses, communities, and individuals worldwide. By striving to achieve these goals, we are working towards a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive, where the environment is preserved for future generations, and where societies are more inclusive and equitable.

Integrating the Global Goals into Our Curriculum

We have integrated the UN Global Goals into our curriculum to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to contribute to a sustainable world. By embedding these goals into our teaching, we aim to inspire the next generation of leaders to think critically about global challenges, act responsibly, and collaborate across borders to create positive change. Our commitment to the Global Goals reflects our belief in the power of education to transform lives and shape a better future for all.

Our Partner Schools

We are proud to be partners with Sedibeng Primary School in Johannesburg, South Africa, and are thrilled to collaborate with them on Global Goals projects. This partnership provides our students with a valuable opportunity to connect with children in another part of the world, fostering a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives and global issues. This connection significantly enriches our Crew 6 Expedition "Roots: Belonging," which delves into the history of apartheid and segregation around the world. By working together, our students gain a more profound appreciation of the importance of inclusion, equality, and shared humanity.
